My DENON S 1200 sounds different than original sound:

1 CD's do not sound as their original looks like something gets fx or filtered???
(Mentioned CD is a commercial music CD)
2 Trax on my 2 GB USB stick do not sound as it is on my PC or Notebook e.g. vocal is not heard or filtered somehow down than its original.. .wav or .mp3 files fm my original music.

Thanks in advance for ideas/comments

Check to see if you have the filter turned on. (low/mid/high)

Seamless Scratch w one Denon 1200 S

Postby newsynth on Sun Dec 20, 2009 7:12 pm

Is there a possibility to play a track and scratch seamless..
i.e. if I scratch during playing, track resumes where scratch began.
Any idea other than having two Dennon 1200 s?

In other words how can I scratch without losing the rhythm..
e.g. playing something in 4/4.. I let my track play first bar 1/4, 2/4, 3/4 and want scratch at 4/4, If I scratch at 4/4 and want to go on playing the second bar.. it would begin where I began to scratch. Falls back.. Is there a trick to manage this?

1st bar----> melody I melody I melody I scratch
2nd bar etc...

Video instructions show that there are two Denons.. one playing continously and scratch w the 2nd Denon.
My Q was is it possible to manage this with one Denon?

Sorry not possible.
If you scratch around the "B" point area of your loop, it considers that as an "EXIT" loop command.
This is the same spec for all of our players, so its normal by design.

We will try to improve this in future models (requires more hardware memory to do it)

renatofdj, when you press play/cue to stop the track (and you get that noise), what is happening/showing on the computer screen?

on the computer screen keeps the virtual dj playing since I changed the usb cable, since I switched to the notebook and the problem continues, when I use the dns 1200 on my desktop it works perfectly, the only way I can work in midi mode and using only 1 dns as sound card and the other only as a midi controller, I need to resolve this problem to have a 100% recovery, I await your help

I have a problem with one of my 1200's. Bought them approx 3 weeks ago. Tonight after about 3 hours, all of the sudden, the CD light started flashing, then the track random stopped. Ejected CD, which cleared up the issue momentarily, but started up again. I am using Serato and the CD's are brand new. Tried using another Serato disc (older version of disc) and still same thing. I am using it in scratch mode. I tried in bend mode and it was still the same issue. Is there a know fix for this?

Not sure of version on the players or where to check as well as how to update.

Have a gig tomorrow night... need help asap.

Does this need to be returned?

Thanks in advanced

Sounds like it could be worn discs.

Here are two things you can try.

1. make a new copy of the timecode disc, and then retest.

2. put the timecode signal/file onto a thumbdrive, and then connect it to the deck.

Using #2 would mean that you would never have to worry about worn/scratched/improperly burned discs again. ;)

PC MODE:

I am using dns 1200 midi mode with VDJ 6.0.5, when I use the pitch blend + or -. released when the button quickly gives a sound of scratching in music.

use windows xp sp3, firmware 2100.

CD/USB MODE:

Another problem with the 2100 version I leave the pitch standing alone 3:20 it goes to 3.25. he is not firm where I put, it sometimes hinders a lot when you mix a song. because the scale has changed.
