DPjee, as mentioned in another thread, 32/64-bit ASIO is in QA right now for final testing.

32/64-Bit Asio driver will be included with the X1600 from initial shipment.

Looking through the utility menu in the USB audio settings (and everywhere else in the utility menu, for that matter), I do not see anything that looks like a DVS enabler. The menus appear to be identical to the previous version in this regard.

The change to the EFX enable button is good for daylight use, but will have to try once it gets dark to see how it is with the effect on/off button no longer being illuminated when off. I still think making it be the dim brightness when off and blinking when on would have been the best solution. But maybe the light used in the buttons is not designed to rapid on/off cycles?

Question regarding this: is preset import safe to do after a firmware upgrade? E.g, I have my preferred settings stored on a USB flash stick as a backup. If a preset file from the previous firmware version is imported, will it do the right thing? Or must one manually reset all settings and then re-export your presets to USB?

Conversely, if one has a preset file from the most current firmware and walks up to a unit in a club with older firmware, will the unit with older firmware be able to successfully import the preset file written by the most current firmware?

No, it does not.

The next version will deal with Core Audio better, but next 10.6.3 could fix it as well.

We will look at adding DVS mode and MIDI IN and some others in the near future.

Yes, no problem.

Should not be a problem.

I guess that means it's not being looked at yet, nor is it part of what is in QA?

Upgrade my X1700 with v1200

EFX ON/OFF button - It's much better then it was earlier. I've tested in the dark, at home :)
After Friday gig, I will give you more feedback about the improvements.
But what about 4 new effects, added to X1600. Will they be added to X1700??

I gave it a go for a bit last night in the dark. The button being completely off isn't terrible. On effect channel 1, the red from the dry/wet knob's light bleeds through the panel and gives the on/off button a very feint illumination. On channel 2, the green from the dry/wet knob has much less bleed, though, and doesn't really illuminate the channel 2 on/off button.

I was still able to find and hit the on/off buttons, partly doing it from motor memory, and partly by using the wet/dry knobs as references points.

But I'll still stand by my original statement: for such an important button, I'd still prefer to see it on dim like it used to be when off, and blinking the bright level when on. (With bonus points for blinking in time with the BPM.)

But the change as it is now is still way better than it was before when using the X1700 in better lit environments.

Why? X1700 is the flagship mixer - Am i right? I think that X1600 is partly based on X1700.
I think that those 3 new effect should be added, to X1700.

Nah, we are working on Traktor Scratch Certification next.
They are both (X17/X16) unofficially approved by NI, just filling out the paperwork and getting the materials in order for offical release. X1600 will come first, X1700 will follow afterwards.

Is non-asio driver (kmixer?) support still on the agenda, it would be nice to have full soundcard support so I don't have to buy a second soundcard just for that purpose, and less cables involved, only one USB B cable for computer audio.
