Having found out initially from product support (who was very helpful) that i needed to update the players, i went and bought an 'Apacer' 1GB flash drive. Once loaded with the update, i tried installing it into the player which then displayed: 'no file found, switch off'.
Which flash drive will definately work? At least i can buy one and hopefully sort this out.

djodz wrote:The Problems are ......
1- Lot of Cds that my old DN s1000 can read , The Denon 1200 show Disc error on her display, many times the time of read or loading one cd is bigger than a 1 minute (is that a joke?)....I use Original cds and Cd-r , all of my collection are in perfectly state , without scratchs ,dust , fingerprints and other dirty things, jeje. This is the first problem time to read and disc errors .
2- During the player of 1 cd ....... the music stops ..... sometimes abruptally , sometimes with a effect like the break , and sometimes with irreconocible sounds.
In other order of things... I don't understand that the Dn S 1200 don't read Mp3 Cd's , I know that is not one of her features but I need the esplain.

ooodjaceooo wrote:So i bought my 1200 yesterday and used it at a school dance, and kept getting a disc error with my brand new un scratched discs, stopping abruptly and making me look dumb,
also i have a Western Digital 250 gb hd that i plugged in and it said no device, so im really frustrated with this device so far?...are these common problems and am i just doing something wrong on the disc side of things and also, with the HD?...do i have to put something on the HD from denon for it to recognize it?

gary j wrote:I bought a sandisk Cruzer Contour USB 2.0 Flash drive (4 GB) which succesfully updated the players (Confimed by the display which now reads 'version no.1300')
However, as before certain discs will not load up quickly. These are original copies in good condition, (Stanley Road, by Paul Weller & disc 2 of Stevie Wonder's Natural Wonder album.....disc 1 is fine by the way)
I left these discs in, and they each take 65 seconds to load, this is something i did not try before, so whether the update has done any good is beyond me.
More suggestions please as this is still not sorted.
Many thanks.

I have the same problem with my 1200, they stop playing but before they make a sound similar to the break sound and I have notice that it happens when there's a lot of vibration on the booth. Loud base signal cousin vibration cause my 1200 to have that kind of problems. First, i thought it was my serato scratch live or my laptop but now that i hear about the same problem with cds i realize it is the cd players. I didn't get pay last friday at a gig because of this embarazing situation and I'll keep losing $$ because of this. it is happening to me with a brand that I have always use and never gave me problems, the brand that I used to argue with other djs that was the best, with the brand that made me become a dj years a go and now that I have more experience as a dj and a built up name at my town I'm looking like the worst and most unproffesional dj on town. I beg the denon team to work on this problem as soon as possible. This is hurting. I have to play this weekend and I'm scared to do so because of this.
